FAQ on Readings

Q: What exactly is a Tarot Card Reading?

A: In my opinion, Tarot cards as a more complex version of the Rorschach cards, meaning you will see in them what you need to.  A reading involves a set of printed cards that are dealt out of a randomly shuffled deck. The cards have specific meanings associated with the pictures on them and the order they are chosen in will also effect the meaning of the reading.  The tarot reader will look at the cards, intuit the meaning in the spread, and give her interpretation to the person being read for.

Q: What, exactly, do I get for my money?
A:  You will receive an email containing a pdf which has the following:

               Picture of the reading

Description of what each card means – including placement

               Overall interpretation of the reading.

Q: How long does it take?

A:  Most readings will go to you within 24 hours.  Some of the larger readings may be up to 48 hours.

Q: Does it tell the future?

A:  The future is hidden for a darn good reason. My readings are intended to entertain and inspire.  Perhaps give a hint of a direction.

Q:  So I should do what the cards say?
A:  Nope. They are cards. They are meant as guides along the way. Think of them as a tiny extra bit of information. And DO NOT base any life choices on a reading.

Q:  Are you a witch?

A:  Not as such. I consider myself intuition based. I listen. I occasionally act on what I hear. I have been called a witch, and frankly I don’t really care what other people label me. If you want to think that, then you go with your bad self.

Q: How long have you been doing this?

A: About 20 years, at charity events and for friends.

Q: How do you prepare for a reading?

A:  It depends on the reading itself, my current mood, whether the cat is happy or heck, even the weather. But I do what I need to do to center myself and focus on your issue.  Music, crystals, incense…all have their place and I use what is needed at the time.

Q:  Isn’t Tarot evil?

A:  The answer to that question is a rather complicated philosophical lecture.  What it boils down do is this…is anything really evil? A sharp blade can cause harm, assist in meal preparation, and excise cancer when wielded by a surgeon. I believe that evil is in the hands of the holder…and I do not believe my hands are evil.

Q: Can I trust you?

A: Privacy is absolute.  I will never email your reading to another person. In fact, if you ask me too, I will even lose your email. What I read is between you and I…unless you choose to share that with another person.  Oh, and I will not do so even upon request by you.  I will only send the requested reading to the specific person.

Q: But all I really want is advice on…..

A: I am providing an entertainment. Nothing I say or imply should in any way constitute medical/legal/financial advice.  Please consult with the appropriate professionals for this information. I can suggest, listen, and sympathize…but cannot and will not be held responsible for any of the above. In fact, if you seem to be relying on me for advice of this nature, I will stop giving you readings and gently suggest you seek professional assistance. I will send you the interpretation of the cards, but you know best how to apply that to your life.

Q: Do you offer refunds?

A: Well, yes and no. This is not an item you can “return” to me. But I can refund you the cost of any reading.  Once. Because if you are unhappy with my readings, then I will need to focus on those who are really interested.

Q: Do you do daily readings?

A: Well, yes and no…again. My concern with this that I do not wish to allow the cards to have too much influence over your life. If you are purchasing too many readings, I will request that we take a break. Again, this is entertainment…NOT the answer to all your issues or problems. In my philosophy, Tarot is meant to inspire, entertain, and enlighten…NOT to be the be-all end-all answer.
